India has so many beautiful places, from architectural delights to nature retreats. But do you what is the most Instagrammable? It is the Gateway of India. According to a survey, it has 700,000 hashtags per acre in this area.

India Someday analyzed Instagram data along area measurements of the popular Indian tourist attractions to figure out the site with the highest number of hashtags per acre. Jama Masjid is second, and Hawa mahal comes next after that.

The high density of Instagram hashtags per acre at iconic landmarks like the Gateway of India underscores their enduring popularity and visual allure. Moreover, Golden temple and sanchi stupa being in the top rankings highlights the diversity in Instagrammable destinations across India. This shows that there is importance in exploring beyond the regular paths to uncover some hidden experiences and places that can offer unique photographic opportunities.”

It is interesting to note that these spots are actually buildings that hold great value to us as the sites showcase Indian culture. The most important perhaps in this list is Taj Mahal which is ranked 6th with 61,905 hashtags per acre under the hashtag #tajmahal.
