India and EU Strengthen Partnership on AI, EVs and Resilient Supply Chains at Third TTC Meeting

India and the European Union (EU) have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in artificial intelligence (AI), electric vehicles (EVs), semiconductors, clean energy, and resilient supply chains during the third India-EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC) meeting held in Brussels. The discussions reflected a shared vision of building a secure, sustainable, and technology-driven partnership amid evolving global economic and geopolitical challenges.

The meeting focused on expanding collaboration in strategic technologies, including AI, semiconductors, high-performance computing, secure digital infrastructure, and emerging technologies. Both sides also emphasized accelerating the clean energy transition through cooperation in electric mobility, battery technologies, renewable energy, green hydrogen, and energy-efficient solutions.

Addressing the meeting, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar highlighted the growing importance of trusted international partnerships in an era marked by supply chain disruptions and technological uncertainties. He noted that closer India-EU cooperation would strengthen economic resilience, promote innovation, and support sustainable development.

The Trade and Technology Council serves as a key platform for advancing bilateral ties by promoting digital transformation, secure supply chains, trade, investment, and innovation. The latest meeting underscores the strategic importance of the India-EU partnership in driving technological progress, enhancing economic growth, and contributing to a more resilient global economy.
