The Ministry of Tourism, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Sangeet Natak Akademi, is set to host the third edition of Krishnaveni Sangeetha Neerajanam in Vijayawada on 6–7 December 2025. Supported by Andhra Pradesh Tourism and the State Department of Culture, the festival celebrates Telugu musical heritage while promoting cultural identity and music tourism.
The event will be inaugurated by Andhra Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Shri Kandula Durgesh, alongside senior officials and public representatives. This year’s theme highlights the state’s cultural ethos, honours the contributions of weavers and artisans, and positions Vijayawada as a major hub for Carnatic music.
Across two days, 18 concerts featuring 98 renowned and emerging artists will take place at Tummalapallivari Kshetrayya Kalakshetram. A special dawn rendering of the Pancharatna Kritis at Durga Ghat on 7 December—led by the Malladi Brothers with music faculty and students—will be a key highlight.
To expand outreach, three prequel concerts were held at sacred temple towns: Srikalahasti, Simhachalam, and Srisailam. Each showcased devotional and classical performances reflecting the spiritual depth of Telugu culture.
A curated craft exhibition will celebrate Andhra Pradesh’s rich artisanal legacy, displaying GI-tagged products such as Kondapalli toys, Etikoppaka lacquerware, Udayagiri cutlery, leather puppetry, Narsapur lace, and handlooms from Mangalagiri and Venkatagiri. The initiative strengthens the Vocal for Local mission while boosting artisan visibility. Tourism and hospitality partners, including the Andhra Pradesh Star Hotels Association, are also supporting the festival to enhance visitor experience and cultural tourism in the region.
