Danam Nagender Vows Overwhelming Victory with Backing of Secunderabad Parliamentary Munuru Kapu Community
Leaders from the Kapu community recently held a significant meeting at the Kachiguda Munuru Kapu Sangham. This community holds a substantial number of voters in Secunderabad.
Danam Nagender mentioned that this is the first time he has sought the community’s vote bank support in the three decades he has been winning elections as an MLA. He has not approached the Kapu community leaders before. In the presence of VH. Hanumanth Rao, he reached out, urging voters to support Congress. He pledged to be a prominent representative for the Kapu community and committed to allocating funds for its development.
In an influential gathering at the Munuru Kapu Bhavan in Kachiguda, Secunderabad, Danam Nagender, an experienced political figure and MLA from Khairatabad, has confidently declared an anticipated landslide victory in the upcoming parliamentary elections for Secunderabad constituency. This assertion was made during a well-attended meeting facilitated by V.H. Hanumanth Rao, a senior Congress leader and former Rajya Sabha member.
Will the Munuru Kapu community’s vote bank shift towards Secunderabad in the parliamentary elections?
For the first time in his extensive three-decade-long political career, Nagender has specifically reached out to the Munuru Kapu community, a significant voting bloc in the region. This shift indicates a potential realignment in voter dynamics, signaling a broader support base for Nagender under the Congress banner.
During the event, Nagender committed to being a dedicated advocate for the Kapu community, emphasizing the need for more resources and attention towards their development. He critiqued the current MP, Kishan Reddy, for his apparent neglect of the economically disadvantaged groups within the constituency.
The support for Nagender was palpable, with community leaders like Manikonda Venkateshwar Rao, president of the Telangana State Munuru Kapu Mahasabha, echoing the sentiment and urging a vigorous door-to-door campaign to secure Nagender’s victory. Other key figures present included Gangam Ravi, Vice President, Mangalarapu Lakshman, General Secretary.
These leaders, along with other attendees such as Thota Raghunath, Chairman of the Munuru Kapu Trust Board, and Konduru Vinod Kumar, Secretary of the Munuru Kapu Lawyers Association, Kola Mohan Krishna, , among others. highlighted the unity and the strategic electoral influence of the Munuru Kapu community. The gathering marked a significant moment in Secunderabad’s political landscape, potentially reshaping future election outcomes and enhancing political representation for the Munuru Kapu community under Nagender’s leadership.
