In a remarkable act of devotion, Baburao, the owner of the famous Niloufer Café, has offered a unique yajnopavita (sacred thread) made of nearly one kilogram of gold and diamonds worth around ₹1 crore to Lord Sri Venkateswara in Tirumala.
Baburao’s family personally handed over the precious offering to the TTD authorities. Speaking about the inspiration behind this gesture, Baburao shared that during one of his earlier visits to Tirumala, he felt as though the Lord Himself had asked him for a sacred thread. “It stayed in my heart. I felt it was God’s wish, so I fulfilled it,” he said.
This rare and symbolic offering has drawn widespread attention, reflecting the family’s deep devotion and faith in Lord Venkateswara.
