The Startup Kadapa initiative is emerging as a key district-level entrepreneurship project in Kadapa, aimed at promoting innovation, youth-led enterprises, and MSME growth in the Rayalaseema region. Backed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the initiative seeks to create a strong local startup ecosystem supported by technology and skill development.
At the core of the project is a modern startup hub being developed over 30,000 sq ft, designed as a plug-and-play workspace with capacity for over 400 entrepreneurs, freelancers, and innovators. The project, estimated at ₹12 crore, has received ₹3 crore funding from NITI Aayog and ₹4 crore through CSR support from Shirdi Sai Electricals.
The initiative is aligned with broader entrepreneurship frameworks, including collaboration with the Bharatiya Yuva Shakti Trust to promote micro and nano enterprises under the “One Family, One Entrepreneur” vision. Additional partnerships with Cyient Foundation and All India Council for Technical Education aim to strengthen mentorship, training, and institutional support.
Alongside the startup hub, the government is also developing an IT cluster park in Kadapa to attract technology firms and boost employment. Expected to launch by mid-2026, Startup Kadapa represents a strategic push to decentralize innovation and create new economic opportunities in emerging regions.
