Empowering Tribal India: Telangana Launches First IT Hub in Mulugu

In a landmark step toward inclusive digital growth, the first IT operations unit has been launched in the tribal-dominated Mulugu district of Telangana. Spearheaded by SRIA Infotech Pvt. Ltd., a Hyderabad-based firm, this initiative aims to decentralize India’s digital economy and provide meaningful employment and skilling opportunities to one of the state’s most underdeveloped regions.

The project is a result of robust public-private collaboration, receiving strong backing from the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Ministry and local MLA Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka). It has partnered with the Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) and actively engaged in a Job Mela to scout and train local talent.

The newly inaugurated TASK Regional Centre in Mulugu is set to become a crucial hub for nurturing IT, reasoning, and communication skills among youth, thus contributing to a sustainable local talent ecosystem.

Why It Matters:
This initiative not only expands India’s tech footprint into Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns but also promotes genuine tribal inclusion, continuous skilling, and modern employment. It stands as a powerful model for socio-economic development driven by cooperation between the government, private sector, and community institutions.
