Unveiling the Truth: The Reality of Privacy on Social Media Platforms

By the time out, life began to step into the digital world, where technology has become essential for our day-to-day lives in all kinds of different sectors of the digital world. We are more engaged with social media, everywhere, and without any age barrier, everyone is using them. There are many social media platforms. The first one was started in 1997, but we are more familiar with Facebook. It has created a revolution, and the usage of it has increased. Now we have Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Snapchat, etc. We definitely use all these in our daily routine. These sites contain our data and personal details,so let us raise a question.

Is our data safe and secure? Is the assurance that the site’s guarantee of our privacy true?.The fact is that any data we drop on the internet is never completely safe. There are many hackers in the dark web who can access and crash the servers of all the companies above. All the social media sites assure us of our privacy, but it is not 100% safe. Many companies like WhatsApp have had issues with this privacy, even though we’ve heard that the data has been leaked from some social media’s.So coming to a conclusion, there is no complete privacy for our data.

Let us raise another question. How do we get relevant information, advertisements, etc. that we didn’t search for? There are people working for this; they are social media analysts who keep check on our data, the likes and dislikes, and they monitor our data to give reliable information to us and give reliable data that we like. So there is no word of privacy in this digital world, though many cyber security officers are always working for this safety, but as said, there is no complete security.

So the only thing that we can do is be careful while we use the internet and unnecessarily shouldn’t allow any permission, and do not drop any personal information in third party apps and sites, and you can drop your data on only official sites and sites that assure our privacy.
