The United Arab Emirates has earned global recognition for its expanding humanitarian outreach, emerging as the third-largest donor for 2025, according to updated data from the UN’s Financial Tracking Service. The ranking positions the UAE behind only the United States and the European Union, making it the world’s leading individual donor nation.
The UN report shows that the UAE contributed $1.46 billion in humanitarian assistance—amounting to 7.2% of all global aid, which totaled $20.28 billion. This substantial support reflects the country’s dual focus on immediate crisis relief and long-term recovery, spanning sectors such as healthcare, education, infrastructure and energy.
Officials highlight that the UAE’s humanitarian philosophy is grounded in neutrality, inclusivity and non-discrimination, ensuring aid reaches communities irrespective of nationality, ethnicity or religion. By balancing rapid-response operations with sustainable development efforts, the UAE continues to strengthen resilience in vulnerable regions worldwide.
