The Sādhana Saptah 2026 initiative represents a significant step in India’s journey to modernise its civil services and prepare governance institutions for future challenges. Launched under Mission Karmayogi, the programme focuses on building a competent, citizen-centric, and future-ready bureaucracy aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
Sādhana Saptah is designed to strengthen the skills, mindset, and professional values of public officials through structured and continuous learning. It emphasises adaptive development and humane aptitude, ensuring that governance remains responsive to citizens’ needs while keeping pace with technological and social change. The initiative integrates training with real administrative requirements, making learning practical and outcome-oriented.
The programme is jointly organised by the Department of Personnel and Training, the Capacity Building Commission, and Karmayogi Bharat. It brings together central ministries, state governments, union territories, and training institutions on a common platform, promoting coordinated and standardised capacity building across the country.
Sādhana Saptah is structured around three guiding principles—Technology, Tradition, and Tangible Outcomes. These pillars aim to combine digital governance tools with India’s administrative legacy while ensuring measurable improvements in public service delivery. Learning is delivered through courses on the iGOT Karmayogi platform, along with group discussions, webinars, and practical workshops.
By focusing on leadership, communication, data-driven decision-making, project management, and digital governance, Sādhana Saptah 2026 seeks to create a capable and accountable civil service. The initiative ultimately supports better governance outcomes and strengthens India’s administrative readiness for the decades ahead.
