The Supreme Court of India has launched the “One Case One Data” initiative as part of a major push to modernize the country’s judicial system. Along with this reform, the apex court also introduced an AI-powered chatbot called “Su-Sahayak” to improve digital access to judicial services.
The “One Case One Data” initiative aims to create a unified digital case management system that connects judicial data across all levels of courts, including the Supreme Court, High Courts, district courts, and taluka courts. The platform is designed to integrate case records, verification systems, and departmental coordination into a single digital framework.
The announcement was made by Chief Justice of India Surya Kanta along with Justice Joymalya Bagchi. The reform seeks to address long-standing issues in India’s justice delivery system, particularly delays caused by fragmented databases, manual verification, and lack of coordination between courts and government departments.
Under the new system, judicial information will be digitally accessible in a more streamlined and efficient manner. Key features expected from the platform include unified case visibility, real-time verification, improved document retrieval, faster inter-court communication, and better workflow management.
The initiative is considered an important step toward building a seamless digital judicial ecosystem in India. Legal experts believe that integrating court data through technology can significantly improve transparency, efficiency, and speed in handling pending cases across the country.
