Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron are set to jointly inaugurate Bharat Innovates 2026 on June 14, 2026, in Nice, France. Organized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, the event is a flagship initiative under the India-France Year of Innovation 2026 aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in technology, research, and entrepreneurship.
Bharat Innovates 2026 will showcase India’s rapidly growing deep-tech ecosystem to a global audience. The event is expected to bring together around 120 Indian innovators and startups, 15 higher education institutions, and more than 500 investors, venture capital firms, corporate leaders, and global CEOs.
The platform will focus on key sectors including semiconductors, space technology, advanced computing, healthcare, energy, biotechnology, and manufacturing. It aims to facilitate technology transfer, promote research collaborations, attract international investments, and help Indian startups expand into global markets.
The initiative reflects the growing strategic partnership between India and France, which has expanded significantly in areas such as innovation, education, space, defence, and clean technologies. Bharat Innovates 2026 is expected to serve as a major catalyst for cross-border collaboration and position India as a leading hub for deep-tech innovation and entrepreneurship.
