Telangana IT Professionals Seek Stronger Welfare Measures, Upskilling Support and Legal Awareness at AIPC Listening Circle.
Hyderabad, June 14, 2026: Around 30 IT professionals participated in a Listening Circle organized under the All India Professionals’ Congress (AIPC) IT & ITES Domain’s “Together for Tech Lives” (TFTL) campaign in Hyderabad, where participants discussed key challenges affecting the technology workforce and proposed measures to strengthen employee welfare and career security.
The session was coordinated by Mr. Raj Sirisilla, AIPC member, and jointly conducted by Ms. Nitignya Harkara, State Head (Telangana), AIPC IT & ITES Vertical. The event provided a platform for IT and ITES professionals to openly share their experiences and concerns regarding the changing employment landscape.
Among those present were Dr. Aditya Reddy Gillella, AIPC State Head, Mr. Shashank Pasupuleti, State Head (Telangana), MSME Vertical, and Mr. Karthik Reddy, District Head, Secunderabad. Event arrangements were supported by Mr. Aslam Hussain, while Mr. Vinod Subramanian, National Head, IT Vertical, and Dr. Vasumathy Ravishankar, State Head (Puducherry), IT Vertical, extended their guidance and support remotely.
Participants highlighted several concerns, including layoffs, forced resignations, lack of social security, weak severance policies, EPF-related challenges, delayed salary issues, workplace dignity, career uncertainty, and the growing need for continuous skill development.
The gathering recommended several measures, including stronger post-layoff upskilling and career transition support, dedicated employee helplines for legal and career guidance, increased awareness of welfare schemes, and stronger engagement between industry stakeholders and policymakers.
Judge Nerella Malyadri Stresses Legal Awareness and Skill Development
Addressing the gathering, Retired District Judge and Senior Advocate Mr. Nerella Malyadri emphasized that employees must continuously enhance their technical skills while also understanding their legal rights and responsibilities.
Drawing from his legal experience, he highlighted the importance of carefully understanding employment contracts, maintaining legal literacy, and seeking timely legal advice whenever workplace disputes arise. He observed that employers and employees must grow together and that employee welfare should be viewed as an investment in organizational stability.
Mr. Malyadri also expressed concern over the emotional and financial stress caused by layoffs and employment uncertainty. He encouraged professionals to remain resilient, continuously upgrade their skills, and develop the mental strength needed to navigate career challenges. He further stressed that constructive policy reforms and employee awareness are essential for creating a fair and sustainable work environment.
Nitignya Harkara Highlights Need for Employee-Centric Dialogue
Ms. Nitignya Harkara, State Head (Telangana), AIPC IT & ITES Vertical, said the Listening Circle was organized to create a meaningful platform where IT professionals could openly discuss workplace challenges and share recommendations for improvement.
She noted that the concerns raised by employees would help shape future advocacy efforts and policy discussions. She emphasized that regular engagement with professionals is crucial to understanding ground realities and ensuring that employee voices are represented effectively.

Dr. Aditya Reddy Gillella Calls for Stronger Workforce Support
Dr. Aditya Reddy Gillella, AIPC State Head, appreciated the initiative and emphasized the need for stronger support systems for professionals working in the technology sector.
He stated that India’s IT workforce has been a key driver of economic growth and innovation. He called for collaborative efforts among industry leaders, policymakers, and employee representatives to address workforce concerns and create an environment that balances business growth with employee welfare.
Shashank Pasupuleti Advocates Entrepreneurship and Career Resilience
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Shashank Pasupuleti, State Head (Telangana), MSME Vertical, highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship, skill enhancement, and alternative career opportunities for professionals affected by changing market conditions.
He observed that many experienced professionals possess the knowledge and capabilities to contribute to startups, MSMEs, and emerging industries. He stressed the need for structured guidance, career transition support, and awareness programs that can help professionals adapt to evolving industry demands and create new employment opportunities.
Raj Sirisilla Reaffirms Commitment to Employee Welfare
In his concluding remarks, Mr. Raj Sirisilla, coordinator of the Listening Circle, thanked all participants, speakers, and organizers for their active involvement.
