SHATAYU Dashboard Launched to Connect Trained Caregivers with Senior Citizens Across India

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has launched the SHATAYU (Senior Holistic Care Assistance and Training for Your Utility) Dashboard to strengthen elderly care services across India. Introduced on 22 May 2026, the digital platform aims to connect trained geriatric caregivers with senior citizens who require professional care and support.

Managed by the National Institute of Social Defence (NISD), the dashboard serves as a centralized database of certified caregivers, enabling elderly individuals and their families to easily access qualified professionals. It also allows caregivers trained under government programmes, including those certified in previous years, to register and offer their services nationwide.

The initiative seeks to improve the availability of quality elderly care, promote professional caregiving, and build a stronger support system for India’s growing senior citizen population. The Ministry is continuously verifying registrations and enhancing the platform to ensure accurate, reliable, and user-friendly services.

The SHATAYU Dashboard is a significant step toward creating an inclusive, age-friendly care ecosystem by leveraging digital technology to connect skilled caregivers with those in need. It also supports the government’s broader objective of ensuring dignity, independence, and improved quality of life for senior citizens across the country.
