Secunderabad, July 30: TPCC State Legal Coordinator and AIPC Telangana MSME State Head Pasupuleti Shashank has strongly condemned what he described as false and malicious propaganda regarding his association with the Deccan Maanav Seva Samiti (DMSS). Addressing a press conference in Secunderabad on Wednesday, he made it clear that his political commitment has always been with the Indian National Congress and that he will continue to work for the party.
Shashank firmly stated, “Beware..! I am a Congress worker and I will always remain in the Congress Party.” He emphasized that attempts to spread misinformation about his political affiliation or portray DMSS as a politically aligned organisation are completely baseless.
He appealed to the public and political observers not to assign any political colour to DMSS, explaining that the organisation has remained a non-political social service institution since its establishment in 1926. According to him, DMSS has spent nearly a century serving society through charitable activities, religious service, and initiatives promoting communal harmony.
Highlighting his political ideology, Shashank reiterated his faith in the leadership of Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and said he is committed to strengthening the Congress Party under the guidance of Constituency In-charge Dr. Kota Neelima.
Speaking about the organisation’s contributions, he noted that DMSS has played a significant role in organising the historic Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Bonalu celebrations, serving lakhs of devotees every year with the support of the Telangana Government. He expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for extending full cooperation in ensuring the smooth conduct of the Bonalu festivities.
Shashank also shared that his family’s association with DMSS spans nearly six to seven decades, reflecting a long tradition of public service. He explained that the organisation comprises members from diverse communities and political backgrounds, while its office-bearers are elected democratically through the collective decision of its members.
Referring to the recent organisational elections, he said MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav was elected as the President of DMSS based on the majority opinion of the members, while he himself was elected as the General Secretary. He clarified that these appointments were made purely through democratic procedures within the organisation and have no political agenda or affiliation.
Concluding his address, Shashank urged the public to refrain from spreading rumours and misinformation about DMSS. He stressed that the organisation’s sole objective is public service and preserving Telangana’s cultural and religious heritage, and appealed to everyone to respect its non-political character.
