Shashank Pasupuleti Joins AICC Independence Day Celebrations in New Delhi
NEW DELHI, Aug. 15: The 79th Independence Day celebrations at Indira Bhawan, the headquarters of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), brought together senior Congress leaders, party office-bearers, professionals, and representatives from across the country to commemorate India’s journey of freedom and democracy.
Among those attending the celebrations was Shashank Pasupuleti, TPCC Legal Cell State Coordinator and All India Professionals’ Congress (AIPC) MSME State Head, who represented Telangana at the national event.
The programme was led by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and attended by former Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, AICC Treasurer Ajay Maken, and senior leaders Pawan Khera, Jairam Ramesh, Captain Praveen, Srinivas B. V., and Prakash Joshi, along with several other party leaders and functionaries.
Representatives of the All India Professionals’ Congress, including Dr. Sunil, Head of the AIPC Doctors’ Cell from Haryana, AICC officials, and professionals from different states, also participated in the celebrations.
Addressing the gathering, Kharge highlighted the historic role played by the Indian National Congress in the country’s freedom movement and its contribution to building modern India. He emphasized the party’s role in strengthening democratic institutions, expanding educational opportunities, promoting scientific progress, supporting agricultural reforms, and advancing social welfare initiatives.
Speaking after the event, Pasupuleti described the occasion as both inspiring and memorable.
“Representing Telangana at the AICC headquarters during the Independence Day celebrations alongside the national leadership is a matter of immense pride. The occasion reminds us of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and reinforces our collective responsibility to safeguard democracy and uphold constitutional values,” he said.
The celebrations concluded with participants reaffirming their commitment to the ideals of freedom, constitutional values, national unity, democracy, secularism, and social justice.
