Dominating the art scene is “The Real Van Gogh Immersive Experience,” the first van Gogh-themed exhibition in the city. Owing to overwhelming response, the play, which opened in the month of March, had to close on the 10th of April. It is extended now till the 23rd of April. In a little over an hour, visitors will walk through the four carefully set-up spaces that illuminate other aspects of the Dutch master’s life and work. For those who have plunged into the art world of Van Gogh, we can offer to continue to The Merchandise Store to buy vivid souvenirs and have some rest in the Art-Themed Cafe with a trial menu from Van Gogh’s favorite meals.

Sneha Anne, one of the visitors, expressed the zeal: “Van Gogh is known to me since a very long time. His exhibitions are world-famous. It feels really great to have his exhibition in Hyderabad. The experience was very enriching, and there was a lot that one could take from this exhibition. So, his story might inspire many people, and it’s amazing to see his art live.”

Vincent van Gogh, truly a phenomenon in the post-impressionism world, managed to set his body of art close to 2100 pieces, including about 860 oil paintings, just within a decade. Despite a large prolific output, van Gogh sold only one painting in his lifetime, and he succumbed to mental health issues, committing suicide at age 37 in 1890. Today, van Gogh is best remembered for his profoundly emotional and vividly colorful paintings, such as the “Starry Night” and “Sunflowers,” still being one of the most powerful painters of Western art.
