Marathon Runner Swamy :Chinnapaka Swamy Enters India Book of Records for Marathon Achievement

BSNL’s Junior Telecom Officer Chinnapaka Swamy received the India Book of Records Award 2024 for his perseverance and dedication. Known for his endurance, Swamy completed the feat, which took 1,000 days, covering a total of 6,332 miles, covering 5 kilometers a day. The show was recognized and celebrated and Swamy attributed its success to the constant support of his family, neighbours, colleagues at BSNL, Fitness India Foundation and soldiers and friends.

Swami’s devotion went beyond personal achievement; His devotion went beyond self-actualization. It promotes a healthy lifestyle, encourages young people to participate in sports such as yoga, walking and running, and rejects the use of alcohol, drugs and other drugs. His advice demonstrates the overall responsibility to promote national exercise aimed at improving the health of people of all ages, not just young people.

The secretary’s journey has been completed with significant results, including marathon victories, 5 km and 10 km races in cities like Mumbai, Goa, Vizag and the state of Telangana. His 1000-day milestone was celebrated on January 28, during which he was felicitated by senior IPS officer Dr RS Praveen Kumar at a special event at Osmania University.

Born into modest beginnings in the village of Nalgonda, Telangana, Swamy’s early life was challenging, having lost his father at a young age. Despite these difficulties, he pursued education with determination, completing his BTech and MTech degrees from JNTU, Hyderabad, before joining BSNL. Today, as the Telangana State President of the Fit India Foundation, Swamy is a beacon of inspiration, promoting fitness and health awareness through various programs across villages, while sharing his personal journey to demonstrate the adverse effects of substance abuse on health and wellbeing.

Swamy’s relentless effort and his journey over 1,000 days have not only included daily runs but also participation in 8 marathons, two ultra marathons, 62 half marathons, and other races, embodying a testament to the power of dedication and the spirit of perseverance. His recent recognition by the India Book of Records stands as a tribute to his incredible journey and the positive impact he continues to make in the realm of health and fitness.
