MSDE Launches Navachar Mantra to Empower Grassroots Innovators and Rural Entrepreneurs

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has launched Navachar Mantra, a national initiative aimed at identifying, nurturing, and supporting grassroots innovators and early-stage entrepreneurs across India. Unveiled by Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary at IIT Delhi on June 3, 2026, the program focuses on talent from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, rural areas, and aspirational districts.

Implemented by the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) in partnership with the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT), Navachar Mantra seeks to bridge the gap between grassroots innovation and national entrepreneurship opportunities.

The initiative will support innovators working in key sectors such as Agritech, HealthTech, EdTech, Climate and Sustainability, Rural Commerce, and MSME Enablement. Selected participants will receive expert mentorship, investor interactions, business development support, intellectual property guidance, and market access assistance through a year-long engagement program.

Applications are open until July 5, 2026, and innovators will be selected through a multi-stage evaluation process involving experts from academia, industry, government, and the startup ecosystem.

By providing mentorship, funding opportunities, national exposure, and ecosystem support, Navachar Mantra aims to transform innovative ideas into scalable enterprises while fostering inclusive growth and strengthening India’s innovation-driven economy.
