The Uttar Pradesh One District One Product (ODOP) Scheme 2026 is a flagship initiative of the state government aimed at promoting traditional crafts, supporting artisans, and strengthening district-specific industries. Launched in 2018, the scheme identifies one unique product from each of Uttar Pradesh’s 75 districts and provides financial assistance, skill development, marketing support, and export promotion to local entrepreneurs and craftsmen.
Under the scheme, eligible beneficiaries can avail loans of up to ₹25 lakh at concessional interest rates along with a 25% margin money subsidy to establish or expand their businesses. The programme also offers training in modern production techniques, branding, packaging, and business management, while helping artisans access domestic and international markets through exhibitions, trade fairs, e-commerce platforms, and export initiatives.
Some of the state’s renowned ODOP products include Varanasi Silk Sarees, Lucknow Chikankari, Moradabad Brassware, Agra Leather Products, Firozabad Glassware, Bhadohi Carpets, Kannauj Perfume, Saharanpur Wood Carving, Aligarh Locks, and Meerut Sports Goods. The scheme is open to Uttar Pradesh residents aged 18 years and above who are engaged in businesses related to their district’s notified ODOP product, with priority given to women, SC, and ST entrepreneurs.
By preserving traditional crafts, improving access to finance, and creating new employment opportunities, the UP ODOP Scheme 2026 is playing a key role in promoting MSME growth, increasing exports, and strengthening Uttar Pradesh’s local economy while showcasing the state’s rich cultural heritage on the global stage.
