APEDA Showcases India’s Agri-Food Innovation and Global Partnerships at World Food India 2025

The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) played a pivotal role at World Food India (WFI) 2025, held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, highlighting India’s agri-food potential, export innovation, and global partnerships.

As the Export Partner for the 4th edition of WFI, APEDA hosted 142 exhibitors across 120 stalls, showcasing GI-tagged products, Basmati rice, millets, organic produce, and value-added foods. The pavilion featured the GI Gallery and BHARTI Zone, focusing on heritage and startup-led innovation.

A major highlight was the Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet (RBSM), which drew 530 global buyers from 68 countries and facilitated over 4,650 B2B meetings with major players like Walmart and LuLu Hypermarket.

On 25 September 2025, APEDA signed an MoU with LuLu Hypermarket LLC, granting Indian agri-food startups shelf space in 252 LuLu outlets across GCC nations under the BHARTI Initiative.

Through its strategic partnerships and innovation-driven approach, APEDA reaffirmed India’s status as a trusted global food trade partner, driving sustainable and inclusive growth in the agri-food export ecosystem.
