In a significant step toward efficient and transparent governance, Union Minister of State for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal inaugurated the LIMBS Live Cases Dashboard on October 14, 2025, in New Delhi.
Part of the Legal Information Management and Briefing System (LIMBS) — launched in 2015 to digitise and streamline government litigation — the new dashboard offers real-time monitoring of court cases involving various ministries and departments. With over 7 lakh active cases from 53 ministries, LIMBS serves as a centralised legal data platform, enhancing coordination and accountability across the government.
The Live Cases Dashboard displays all cases scheduled for hearing in the next seven days across the Supreme Court, High Courts, and subordinate courts, enabling proactive preparation and reducing dependence on intermediaries. By providing instant access to case updates, it strengthens inter-ministerial coordination, minimises communication gaps, and accelerates decision-making.
Aligned with the government’s Digital India and e-governance objectives, the platform promotes data-driven legal management, helping ministries prioritise critical cases, optimise resources, and lower litigation costs.
The initiative underscores India’s ongoing efforts to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency in legal administration — a key milestone in modernising public governance.
