Legal Brilliance Takes Centre Stage at Bhaskar Law College’s National Moot Court
The Bhaskar Law College in Hyderabad witnessed three days of intense debate and intellectual exchange during the National Moot Court Competition held from October 16 to 18, 2025. The event, conducted in hybrid mode, brought together law students from across India, showcasing the academic strength and national spirit of the institution.
The competition was inaugurated online by Justice A. Venkateshwara Reddy (Retd.), former judge of the High Court of Telangana, who emphasized that the foundation of legal practice lies in discipline, integrity, and dedication to justice. The guest of honor, Vijiyalaxmi from Osmania University, urged students to view mooting as a bridge between theoretical knowledge and courtroom experience.
The valedictory session featured Justice Vineet Kothari, former acting Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court, who addressed participants virtually and commended their preparation and clarity in argument. The session also included insights from Venkateshwarlu, Dean and Head of the Faculty of Law at Osmania University; N. Ram Prasad, Principal of the University College of Law; and M. K. Bhandari, Founder and Director of the Global Academy of Law-Tech Education and Research.
Other notable attendees included Ravi G., Member Secretary of the Telangana Pollution Control Board; J. V. Krishna Rao, Secretary of J.B. Education Society; and Ch. Sanjay, Director of the JB Group of Institutions.
This year’s competition saw participation from 26 teams representing 17 leading law colleges from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, along with one team from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, adding to the event’s national character.
Speaking on the occasion, Krishna Rao highlighted that moot courts form the core of clinical legal education, providing students a platform to develop research skills, teamwork, and real-world advocacy. He noted that the exercise mirrors courtroom challenges where intellect, ethics, and persuasion must work together.
Participants were lauded for their professionalism and commitment to legal excellence. Dignitaries at the event emphasized that moot court competitions play a vital role in shaping lawyers who uphold both the letter and spirit of the law.
The competition concluded with appreciation for faculty coordinators, student volunteers, and sponsors whose efforts contributed to the event’s success. The 2025 National Moot Court Competition at Bhaskar Law College ended on an inspiring note, reaffirming the importance of learning, leadership, and justice in legal education.
