The Ministry of Ayush has launched Yoga 365, a nationwide initiative to encourage the daily practice of yoga as part of everyday life. The campaign was unveiled during Yoga Mahotsav–2026 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, marking the 100-day countdown to the International Day of Yoga (June 21).
Yoga 365 aims to bridge the gap between widespread awareness and low regular practice of yoga in India. While awareness levels are above 95% in both rural and urban areas, consistent engagement remains limited. The initiative focuses on transforming this awareness into a daily habit to promote physical fitness, mental clarity, and emotional well-being.
To improve accessibility, the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) has partnered with the digital platform Habuild to provide free online yoga sessions. This ensures that people across regions and age groups can easily access guided practice.
The initiative also builds on existing programs such as the Y-Break for corporate employees, the Common Yoga Protocol, and therapeutic yoga modules for lifestyle diseases. By integrating yoga into workplaces, communities, and healthcare systems, Yoga 365 aims to create a long-term culture of wellness.
With growing global participation in yoga, the campaign seeks to move beyond annual celebrations and establish yoga as a daily practice for a healthier society.
