e-NAM Expands to 247 Commodities with Addition of 9 New Agri Products

The National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) — India’s largest digital platform for agricultural trade — has expanded its scope by adding nine new commodities, taking the total count of tradable items to 247. The announcement, made on October 8, 2025, by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, reinforces the government’s push toward a transparent, technology-driven agri-market ecosystem.

Launched in 2016, e-NAM connects mandis across states, enabling farmers and traders to trade online while ensuring quality-based pricing, greater market access, and reduced dependency on middlemen.

Newly Added Commodities:
Green Tea, Tea, Aswagandha Dry Roots, Mustard Oil, Lavender Oil, Mentha Oil, Virgin Olive Oil, Lavender Dried Flower, and Broken Rice.

The Directorate of Marketing and Inspection (DMI) has developed standardized quality parameters for these commodities in collaboration with states, traders, and experts. This initiative ensures fair, quality-driven pricing and improved market transparency under the guidance of Union Agriculture Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
