Prime Minister Narendra Modi will undertake a six-day visit to France and Slovakia from June 13–18, 2026, aimed at strengthening India’s strategic partnerships in Europe and enhancing cooperation in technology, innovation, trade, and global governance.
During the visit, PM Modi will hold bilateral talks with French President Emmanuel Macron in Nice, where both leaders are expected to review the progress of the India-France Special Global Strategic Partnership. Discussions are likely to focus on defense cooperation, artificial intelligence, clean energy, space technology, trade, and regional security issues.
A key highlight of the visit will be PM Modi’s participation in the G7 Summit, where he is expected to engage with world leaders on global economic challenges, sustainable development, energy security, and emerging technologies. India’s presence at the summit underscores its growing role in international affairs and global decision-making.
The Prime Minister will also attend VivaTech 2026, Europe’s largest technology and startup event in Paris, showcasing India’s innovation ecosystem and strengthening collaboration in digital technologies, startups, and AI-driven solutions.
In Slovakia, PM Modi will meet Prime Minister Robert Fico to discuss ways to expand bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, defense, education, and industrial partnerships. The visit is expected to open new avenues for collaboration between India and Central Europe.
The tour reflects India’s continued efforts to deepen engagement with European nations while promoting innovation, economic growth, and strategic cooperation on global issues.
