Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Shri Piyush Goyal launched the Logistics Data Bank (LDB) 2.0 in New Delhi, marking a decade of Make in India. The upgraded platform is a game-changer for India’s logistics sector, offering real-time data tracking, multi-modal shipment visibility, and high-seas container monitoring to boost supply chain efficiency.
Developed by NICDC Logistics Data Services (NLDSL), LDB 2.0 introduces features like integration with ULIP APIs, a live container heatmap, and tracking across road, rail, and sea. These innovations aim to reduce logistics costs, improve reliability, and enhance India’s global export competitiveness.
The platform is expected to particularly benefit MSMEs and startups, giving them access to advanced digital tools that were once limited to large exporters. It aligns with the government’s vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, strengthening India’s digital backbone and reinforcing Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Shri Piyush Goyal emphasized that LDB 2.0 is more than a digital upgrade—it is a strategic reform that supports Make in India, strengthens Ease of Doing Business, and moves India closer to becoming an export powerhouse.
