India Shines at Asian Archery Championships with Two Golds and One Silver

India’s compound archers showcased remarkable precision and teamwork at the Asian Archery Championships 2025 in Dhaka, clinching two gold medals and one silver across team events.

The women’s team of Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Deepshikha, and Prithika Pradeep delivered a stellar performance to defeat Korea 236–234 in a tense final. Their consistent scoring, including high-pressure ends of 59 and 58, sealed the victory.

India’s second gold came from the mixed team duo Abhishek Verma and Deepshikha, who overcame Bangladesh 153–151 with composed shooting throughout.

Meanwhile, the men’s team—comprising Abhishek Verma, Sahil Rajesh Jadhav, and Prathamesh Bhalchandra Fuge—fought hard but fell short by just one point, losing 229–230 to Kazakhstan to settle for silver.

The strong finish reinforces India’s growing dominance in compound archery ahead of upcoming international events.
