Secunderabad, June 21, 2025 — Preparations for Bonalu 2025 gained momentum today as the Deccan Manav Seva Samithi (DMSS) convened a high-level coordination meeting with Sanathnagar MLA and former minister Talsani Srinivas Yadav at the Shri Ujjaini Mahakali Temple. DMSS representatives Seelam Anurag and Shashank Pasupuleti joined the MLA for an on-ground inspection of the temple’s infrastructure and crowd control arrangements.

During the visit, MLA Talsani Srinivas Yadav directed officials from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and local police to fast-track road repairs and resolve drainage issues in the Gatalu Edhurkolu stretch. He set June 29 as the deadline to ensure smooth access for devotees during the festival.

The MLA also emphasized the importance of civic preparedness—calling for the installation of CCTV cameras and ensuring uninterrupted power supply across key Bonalu routes and venues.

To improve access for devotees arriving from Nallagutta, he instructed ACP Sidhia and CI Parusharam to establish dedicated entry routes. He praised CI Parusharam’s effective management during last year’s festival and proposed deploying the same experienced team for this year’s peak days.

The meeting was also attended by DMSS President Konka Raghu Mohan, along with committee members CK Narsing Rao, Kamal Kumar, Hari Babu, Vinod, Vasundar Raj, Raju, and Shravan Kumar.

According to the Telangana Endowments Department, Bonalu 2025 will begin on June 26 at Sri Jagadambika Ammavari Temple in Golconda Fort and conclude on July 24. Major celebrations in Secunderabad will be held on July 13 and 14 at the Ujjaini Mahakali Temple, with final rituals scheduled at Lal Darwaza on July 20.

Bonalu is a deeply revered festival in Telangana, dedicated to Goddess Mahakali. Women carry decorated pots filled with rice, jaggery, and curd as traditional offerings. The celebrations also include vibrant folk performances, Potharaju-led processions, and the mystical Rangam oracle ceremony.

With focused infrastructure upgrades, strengthened security measures, and active community participation, officials expressed confidence that Bonalu 2025 will be spiritually fulfilling, well-organized, and safe for the thousands of devotees expected to attend across Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
