The Union Cabinet of India has approved the BHAVYA (Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana) Scheme to develop 100 plug-and-play industrial parks across the country. Announced on March 18, 2026, the scheme comes with a massive outlay of ₹33,600 crore and aims to strengthen India’s manufacturing ecosystem.
Under this initiative, industrial parks ranging from 100 to 1,000 acres will be developed with ready-to-use infrastructure such as roads, drainage, utilities, and digital connectivity. These parks will also feature pre-built factory sheds, testing labs, and warehousing facilities, enabling industries to start operations quickly and reduce setup time.
A key highlight of the scheme is its plug-and-play model, which offers pre-approved land and infrastructure, making India more attractive to investors by lowering costs and simplifying business processes. The scheme will be implemented in collaboration with state governments and private sector players through a competitive selection process.
The program is expected to significantly boost manufacturing growth, enhance India’s role in global supply chains, and generate large-scale employment opportunities. It will be implemented by the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade.
Building on existing industrial corridor projects, the BHAVYA Scheme marks a major step toward creating a robust, investment-ready industrial network across India.
